PAMASKONG HANDOG FOR TYPHOON YOLANDA SURVIVORS

One would never forget the devastation that the supertyphoon Yolanda (International name: “Haiyan”) brought in the Philippines that made Christmas a lonesome one for Filipinos. In order to bring back the warmth and happiness this Yuletide Season; the City Government through the City Social and Development of Trece Martires City organized the Pamaskong Handog for Typhoon Yolanda Survivors last December 27, 2013 at the City Hall Lobby.
The event was attended by the typhoon survivors whom according to the records of CSWD as of November 20, 2013 shows that there are 50 families who affected by the said typhoon. They  temporarily live with their relatives in the City. Ms. Nora Delos Santos, head of the Social Welfare, welcome the typhoon survivors to jumpstart the event. There were fun-filled activities such as parlor games, exchange gifts, and salo-salo that uplift the spirit of Christmas amidst the disaster that happened.
Truly, Filipinos are amongst the happiest and the bravest people: they never forget how to smile despite the painful and unpleasant disaster brought by Yolanda.

Ms. Zarah Valerie Manasan Astilla & Mr. Marlon Darvin facilitate the games for children.
