Officially Celebration — 7 Days (February 7–13, 2016) It's a public holiday for Chinese. Usually people have 7 consecutive days off from Chinese New Year's Eve to the sixth day after Chinese New Year's Day.
Officially only the first three days of Chinese New Year (February 8–10, 2016) are statutory holiday. Chinese New Year's Eve and three more days are always added to give seven consecutive days of holiday.
These four extra days are taken from weekends: the two weekend days closest to the statutory holiday are included, while the Saturday before (February 6, 2016) and the Sunday after (February 14, 2016) are worked.

FEBRUARY IS NATIONAL CHILDREN'S DENTAL HEALTH MONTH
The Dental Association, along with the DA Foundation, is pleased to provide you with the February 2016 National Children's Dental Health Month (NCDHM) campaign poster. This month-long national health observance brings together thousands of dedicated dental professionals, healthcare providers, and educators to promote the benefits of good oral health to children, their caregivers, teachers and many others.
This year’s NCDHM campaign slogan Sugar Wars” is displayed on both sides of the poster. The Smileys, McGrinns and K9 are in a spaceship, the USS SweetSwatter. It is equipped with toothbrush swatters, fighting against the Sweet Tooth Invaders for good oral health. On the reverse side, preteen/teenagers demonstrate effective ways to defeat the effects of sugar and maintain good oral health by brushing, flossing, rinsing and eating healthy snacks. These versatile posters will help speakers, teachers, and others to address a range of age groups.

CITY SOCIAL WELFARE & DEVELOPMENT OFFICE

The City Social Welfare & Development Office and the Association of Senior Citizen held the Senior Citizen General Assembly and Valentines Party at Provincial Gymnasium last February 11, 2016 with 1,100 registered senior citizen. This activity encouraged them to show their initiative and creativity, promote their social welfare and help them to become participating members of the community as well. 

The next event for CSWDO was the distribution of Social Pension for Indigient Senior Citizens Region IV-A Quarterly Payout at the Multi-Purpose Hall of Trece Martires City for 257 Indigent Senior Citizens. They received Php. 1500 quarterly pension last February 9, 2016. All indigent senior citizens or those 60 years old and above are entitled to Php. 500 monthly pension as provided for by Republic Act No. 9994 or the Expanded Senior Citizens Act of 2010.

The last activity was Socialization and General Assembly of Solo Parents at Covered Court Transville Homes Subdivision Barangay San Agustin, Trece Martires City last February 12 300 solo parents attended this activity.

Mayor Melan De Sagun, Vice Mayor Alex Lubigan, the Sanggunian Members as well as all the Barangay Captains attended the events of CSWDO for february.

BINYAGANG BAYAN 2016


“God has really touched your life, saved you by His grace. Now being baptized in His name and walking in His ways, I pray that you will come to know what God has planned for you” Mayor Melan said at the St. Jude Thaddeus Church during the Binyagang bayan last February 27.

February of every year has been declared as Civil Registration Month and the Local Civil Registrar’s Office (LCRO) celebrated with the theme “Makiisa… Makisali sa Dekadang Civil Registration & Vital Statistics (CVRS)” through a Binyagang Bayan 2016 held at St. Jude Thaddeus Church from 8am to 10am last February 27 178 children baptism the religious rite of sprinkling water onto a person's forehead or of immersion in water, symbolizing purification or regeneration and admission to the Catholic Church. For us TreceƱos, baptsm is one of the celebrated religious event for a child.

The Civil Registration Month was established for the awareness, proper recording and timely registration of civil registry documents. Through this, wrong entries in the various civil registry documents will be avoided.
