RESULTA NG PAGSUSURI PARA SA OUTSTANDING BARANGAY CY 2013


                Isa pagsusuri ang isinagawa para sa Outstanding Barangay para sa Nutrisyon na pinangunahan ng Nutrition Division. Ayon sa mga resulta, nagwagi ang Barangay Inocencio sa total score na 98.50 laban sa labin-dalawang barangay ng Trece Martires. Narito ang buong resulta ng evaluation:

Noong Enero hanggang Pebrero 21, 2014, nagkaroon din ng pagsusuri ang Nutrition Division ng Office of the City Mayor ng Trece Martires para sa Outstanding Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS). Ang mga naging resulta ay inihanda ng City Nutrition Program Coordinator Maria Nelida A. Herrera at inaprubahan ng City Action Officer Wenda P. Garcia.
Ayon sa resulta, narito ang mga kinilalang Outstanding Barangay Nutrition Scholar 2013:

Noong nakaraang Marso uno ay ideneklara ng pamunuang lungsod si Gng. Wenda Perey Garcia na bagong Division Chief ng City Nutrition Office.
                 Si Gng. Garcia ay tubong Barangay San Agustin at nag-aral ng elementarya central at high school TMC National Highschool.  Nagtapos noong 2003 sa kursong BS Nutrition sa University of the Philippines Los Banos at nakatapos  ng Masters    Degree in Public Administration sa Eulogio Amang Rodrigues Institute of Science and Technology.
Nakamit niya ang kanyang Nutritionist Dietitian License noong July 13, 2004 sa PRC at pasado rin sya sa Cvil Service Professional Examination noong March 16, 2004
Nagsilbi si Wenda bilang Nutritionist Office Staff sa City Nutrition Office mula Octubre  2003 hanggang  Disyembre 2004. Lumipat sya sa Cavite Provincial Health Office bilang Nutritionist Dietician I noong 2005 at na promote sa Nutritionist Dietician II noong 2007.
Ang kanyang adbokasiya sa nutrisyon ay nakatuon sa pamamahagi ng impormasyon  at importansya ng breastfeeding at patuloy na pagtataas at pagsasaayos ng antas ng kalagayang pangnutrisyon ng ating bayan.

UNANG PAGPUPULONG NG CNC, IDINAOS

“Ang malusog na kabataan ay kasig-uraduhan na ang pamayanan ay nasa mabuting kalagayan” ani ni Mayor Melan De Sagun and Chairman ng City Nutrition Com-mittee sa idinaos na unang pulong ang noong Lunes, ika-31 ng Marso 2014.
Ang nasabing pulong ay dinaluhan ng iba-ibang miyembro ng CNC mula sa iba’t ibang opisina ng Trece Martires tulad ng Mayor’s Office, Sanggunian, Planning, Treasurer’s Office, Budget Office, Accounting, City DSWD, Health Office, Engineer’s Office, FEDHA, Rotary Club of TMC, Trece Martires City College at JCI Trece Martires Quintana.
Napagusapan sa pulong ang apat na pangunahing paksa. Una ay ang pagpapakilala sa mga bagong opisyal ng City Nutrition Office sa katauhan ni Gng. Wenda Perey-Garcia. Su-munod dito ay ang pagsasaayos ng organisasy-on ng City Nutrition Committee (CNC). Binig-yang halaga din ng CNC ang mga naisagawa nito sa taong 2013. Isa na rito ay ang pagkuha ng 96% OPT (Operation Timbang). Ayon sa mga naobserbahan at nalikom na mga dokumento, 96% sa 620 na bata ang naging ‘underweight’ at nabigyan ng aksyon. Mayroon ding 158 bata na naitalang ‘severely underweight’. 48 sa ka-nila ay nabigyan ng mabilisang aksyon saman-talang ang 33 naman ay napasama sa mga ‘underweight’. Sa kabutihang-palad, 20,605 ay nasa ‘normal weight’ o maayos na kalusugan.
Bukod pa dito, inalala din ng CNC ang nasagawang PGN training noong Abril 22-26, 2013. Ipinagmalaki rin sa pulong ang mga nana-lo sa tatlong magkakaibang kompetisyon noong nakaraang taon.
Una dito ay ang pagkapanalo ng barangay Hugo Perez bilang 3rd place Outstanding Regional Level, sunod ay ang pagkakabilang kay Cita Nueva na finalist sa Regional Outstanding Barangay Nu-trition Scholar Award na ginanap sa Heritage Ho-tel, Manila (makikita ang larawan ng awarding sa pahina 2). Ang huli ay ang pagkapanalo ni Melanie Colada bilang 2nd Runner-Up at Best in Long Gown sa Ms. BNS 2013 sa unang Regional BNS Congress.
Sa huli ay napagusapan sa pulong ang mga plano at programa ng CNC para sa taong 2014. Balak ng CNC na magkaroon ng isang team building activity, BNS training at ikalawang batch ng PGN training. Sa Hunyo 9-11, 2014 naman ay ang pagdating ng Regional Evaluating Team para sa local nutrition program. Inihahanda na rin ng komite ang gaganaping Nutrition Month Celebra-tion ngayong taong 2014. Kasama na rin sa natur-ang paghahanda ay ang pagnanais ng CNC na ipaalam at ipamahagi ang importansya ng iodized salt sa mga residente. Bukod dito, binukas din ang suhestyon ang paglalaan ng sweldo para sa mga Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS).

CITY GOVERNMENT ORGANIZED ANNUAL BOSS


             The Business Permit and License Division of the City Government of Trece Martires City had made their final call for the renewal of permits and transport services through Business One Stop Shop (BOSS) last January 2-20, 2014 at the City Hall Lobby.
             BOSS is the simplified registration process that gives convience for all applicants in services like business permits, tricycle franchise, transport services, number of MP-delivery truck, wiring permits, mayor’s permit and several other special permits because all offices and attached agencies necessary are gathered together in the lobby of the city hall. Additionally, those who were able to process their documents on the said date were entitled to have 10% discount on the processing fees.
               According to the tally made by the Business Permit License Division (BPLD) during BOSS, there 111 new business permits, over 1,357 renewed business permit and 115 closure. Tricycle franchise numbered 98 for new franchise, 1,581 for renewal and 112 for cancelled. There are 12 new and 50 renewal in terms of transport services and total of 5 number of MP-Delivery trucks.There is also grand total of 125 wiring permits (111 for residential and 14 for commercial).  Special permit on the other hand has an overall number of 59, majority are peddlers (56) and lastly, Mayor’s permit had the least number of applicant, for only 6 applying for a residential building permit.
               The given figures had shown that BOSS had been favored by most Trecenos because of its simplicity, convenience and effiency in handling important business transactions.

DANCE-FOR-A-CAUSE , 27th FOUNDATION DAY OF THE 
TRECE MARTIRES CITY SOCIAL CLUB

        In 27th Foundation day of TMC Social Club was held at the covered court of the Trece Martires City Elementary School last December 14, 2013. The event was attended by 300 participants in full western attire.
       The program started with the acknowledgement of all the guests by Mr. Raymund Eguillos & Ms. Sharlene Batin. The Doxology was led by Mr. Benedict Federoso followed by the National Anthem sung by Trece Martires City Employees Choir. Hon. Venancio Gatdula, the immediate past president, gave the opening remarks. Mr. Josefino S. Vasques welcomed  the guest to the 27th Foundation Day of the Club.
       Hon. Angelito Villanueva introduced the Guest of Honor none other than the Provincial Governor—Hon. Jonvic Remulla who was represented by Ex Vice Mayor Alvin Mojica stated that the province will always be supportive of the programs of the TMC Social Club. Hon. Angelito Villanueva was declared as the next president of Social Club ‘14.
          The siblings Mary Angelic and Benedict  Federoso performed a series of song numbers after the Cotillion De Honor. Each guest gave a donation for the Yolanda survivors as  their contribution for the Dance-For-A-Cause.

PERSON WITH DISABILITY

           The City Social Welfare and Development Office of Trece Martires City had successfully conducted it’s 1st Person’s with Disability Congress of Trece Martires City held last December 20, 2013 at Amore Recreation and Leisure Park in Aguado.
         The advocacy campaign is designed to help inform and encourage people with disabilities, and in addition, the event participants would be able to understand and accept the mandates stipulated in every PWD related activities. The event also gives an opportunity to increase awareness of the participants welfare that would lead them to utilize their potential and talents for the development of PWD in the City.
         The event was graced by Mr. Jing Caringal, who is the Federation President of PWD in Cavite as its guest speaker. Caringal had inspired and empowered people with disabilities to beat the odds and break the barriers for the   development for all. The event ended with an inspirational message from the City Mayor, Hon. Melandres De Sagun.

AYUDA SA TYPHOON YOLANDA


        Naging maigting ang buhos ng tulong sa ating mga kapatid sa Central Visayas na nasalanta ng Super Bagyong Yolanda. Sa pamumuno ni Mayor Melan de Sagun muling tumulak patungong Central Visayas ang Pamahalaang Lunsod ng Trece Martires para sa ikalawang bahagi ng relief operations.
Ikalawang bahagi ang Basey sa Eastern Samar at Marabut sa Western Samar noong December 9-14, 2013. 800 pamilya mula sa San Antonio Basey, Eastern Samar ang nabahaginan ng relief goods at tulong medical. Maging ang taunang pamimigay ng Gamit Eskwela ni Mayor Melan ay umabot sa mga kabataan doon, 74 na Day Care Centers, 554 na mga primary level at 374 na mag-aaral sa secondary level. 310 namang mga pamilya sa Barangay Tingib ang natulungan.
         Sa Marabut, Eastern Samar naman, 195 na mga pamilya mula Barangay Amantillo, 145 pamilya mula  Barangay Ferreras, 120 pamilya mula Barangay Odoc ang nabahaginan ng tulong na relief goods at ang medical mission naman ay naganap sa mga Barangay ng Ferreras at Odoc, kung saan 145 at 120 pamilya ang natulungan.
        Hindi lamang sa bilang o ano mang bagay makikita ang tulong sa ating mga kababayan kundi ang emosyonal, ispiritwal at moral nilang pangangailangan sa mahabang proseso na nawa ay mabilis nilang malampasan ang hambalos ng Bagyong Yolanda. Makikita sa ibaba ang buong mga detalye ng Medical and Relief Operations maging ang donasyon ng mga mamamayan at ilang mga sektor ng lipunan. Ang Pamahalaang Lunsod ng Trece Martires ang ginamit na instrumento upang makarating ng agaran ang tulong.
      Kabilang sa mga opisina ng Pamahalaang Lunsod ang karamay ng ating mga kababayan ang naghatid ng tulong ay ang City Health Office sa pamunuan ni Dr. Marina Perena; CDRRMO sa pamunuan ni Engr. Kenneth Morales; Treceno Medical Pavillion sa pangunguna ni Dr. Bryan De Mesa at mga volunteer nurses; City Mayors Office sa pangunguna ni Ms. Marina Castillo. Ang City Administrator. City Engineering Office sa pangunguna ni Engr. Antonio Mendez; kabilang ang General Services Office sa pamunuan ni Ms. Emelina Vidallon at CDSWDO sa pamunuan ni Ms. Nora Delos Santos at maging mga volunteer employees na nagrepack ng mga relief goods mula ibat-ibang opisina ng Pamahalaang Lunsod.

 PAMASKONG HANDOG FOR TYPHOON YOLANDA SURVIVORS

            One would never forget the devastation that the supertyphoon Yolanda (International name: “Haiyan”) brought in the Philippines that made Christmas a lonesome one for Filipinos. In order to bring back the warmth and happiness this Yuletide Season; the City Government through the City Social and Development of Trece Martires City organized the Pamaskong Handog for Typhoon Yolanda Survivors last December 27, 2013 at the City Hall Lobby.
         The event was attended by the typhoon survivors whom according to the records of CSWD as of November 20, 2013 shows that there are 50 families who affected by the said typhoon. They  temporarily live with their relatives in the City. Ms. Nora Delos Santos, head of the Social Welfare, welcome the typhoon survivors to jumpstart the event. There were fun-filled activities such as parlor games, exchange gifts, and salo-salo that uplift the spirit of Christmas amidst the disaster that happened.
           Truly, Filipinos are amongst the happiest and the bravest people: they never forget how to smile despite the painful and unpleasant disaster brought by Yolanda.
