AERO DANCE FITNESS

On October 24, 2015, Ms. Wenda Perey-Garcia, head of City Nutrition Office, organized the  "Aero Dance Fitness" held  at Provincial Capitol Grounds, Trece Martires City.
The fitness activity were attended by different zumba groups from the 13 barangays in partnership with Amaia Escapes, TMZ Aero Dance Fitness Group and the TMC BNS Federation.
More than 200 participants attended the Aero Dance Fitness from 3:30 - 6:00 PM.

BASIC EVENT PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP

The City Tourism and Information Office hosted the Basic Event Photography Workshop at the Conference Room of the City Mayor’s Office. The seminar was attended by 50 avid photographers and members of the Trece Photography Club started at 10:30am. The purpose of the event is to enhance the current skills of the assembled photographers, amateur or professionals, to see opportunities to use the techniques and different strategies in different events and conditions. Mr. Joseph Galian is the invited resource speaker for the event.The last part of the event enabled the photographers to test their new-found skills through an on-the-spot photoshoot at the City Forest Park. The female models are Ms. Sydne Buencamiso and Ms. Faith Hope Ocampo wore wedding gowns and the male models are Mr. Lawrence Simon and Mr. Amador L. Barongrong Jr. wore formal suits following a wedding/bridal theme.

GRAND FEAST CELEBRATION


“Samahan ninyo kami sa pagdiriwang ng kapistahan ni San Hudas Tadeo at makiisa sa mga inihanda naming kasiyahan para sa inyong lahat”, Mayor Melan said. Three Barangays of Trece Martires celebrated the Feast of St. Jude Thaddeus last October 28, 2015: San Agustin, De Ocampo, and Luciano. The Local Government of Trece Martires through the City Mayor’s Office celebrated the feast of our patron saint with a 5-day long series of activities from October 24-28 2015. The events are : October 24 basic event photography workshop, aero dance fitness, sayawit treceño grand finals, October 25 1st mayor melan moto - cross enduro challenge, 2nd inter subdivision basketball & women’s volleyball tournament grand parade and opening, October 26 mayor’s night rave party,  October 27 karakol, palarong pinoy, October 28 grand fiesta celebration.

GRAND OPENING OF TOWER MALL

          The Grand Opening of the Tower Mall was spearheaded by one of the Directors of SM Prime Mr. Hans T. Sy he was joined by the Former City Mayor Hon. Melencio ‘Jun’ de Sagun, Vice Mayor Alex Lubigan and Ms. Annie Garcia for the  Mall Opening. The event was followed by a gathering attended by city government employees, officials and councilors as well as city locals.
       SM Super Mall is one of the leading malls in the Philippines with more than fifty malls nationwide, it is owned by one of the biggest developer and mall operator - SM Prime Holdings Inc.. The continuous growth of their business is now being embraced by the Treceños as SM Malls opened Tower Mall. The Tower Mall is a subsidiary of SM Stores and it is now open to the public since the 25th of September 2015.
          The first image shows Tower Mall façade a few weeks before the Grand Opening, it is located at the Governor’s Drive corner Provincial Capitol road.
          The second image shows Mr. Hans Sy with City Councilors: Hon. Ven Gatdula, Hon. Rona Bago, Hon. Bong de Sagun, Hon. Boyet Aure, Hon. Aldrin Anacan, Hon. Lito Villanueva, Ms. Annie Garcia, Mr. Christopher Galpa and Mr. Raymond Eguillos.

PULONG LUNGSOD PARA SA EDUKASYON

      “Hindi madali para sa buong bansa ang pagpapatupad ng K to 12. Isa itong hamon para sa pamahalaang lunsod, sa Kagawaran ng Edukasyon at lalong higit sa mga magulang at magaaral na daraan dito.” Mayor Melan started in his message at the pulong para sa edukasyon. 
       “Pulong Lungsod Para Sa Edukasyon” is an assembly held at Cavite Provincial Gymnasium with a focus to elaborate on K to 12 education program that covers kindergarten and 12 years of basic education. The bill was signed into law May 2013. Pulong Lungsod is a project of the Department of Education (DepEd) – Trece Martires City headed by Ms. Cherry Lou De Mesa, the DepEd district supervisor in collaboration with Trece Martires City Elementary School (TMCES) and Trece Martires City National High School (TMCNHS). It was attended by all the members of the Sangguniang Panlunsod, barangay captains and kagawad from different barangay, day care workers, students leaders and the members of GPTA, BHW, BNS.

          "In these days and times, martyrdom is seen in the face of ordinary people", Mayor Melan said in his inspirational message last September 12,2015.
          The City Government of Trece Martires commemorated the 199th Death Anniversary of the Thirteen Martyrs of Cavite with a weeklong activity which included a job fair, Thanksgiving Mass, the re - enactment of the execution of the Thirteen Martyrs, and wreath laying at the Bantayog ng Labintatlong Martir ng Cavite and a Zumbathon.
          The PESO staffs organized a job fair last September 11, 2015 at Walter Mart Trece Martires under the supervision of PESO Manager Ms. Necy Abestro. Twenty companies had participated on the activity such as Abenson Ventures, Walter Mart Supermarket, NCST, Fresh N' Famous/Greenwich and Mirof Services. A total of 315 applicants have registered and 75 persons were hired on the spot. The job fair started at 9 AM and ended at 2 PM.
          On September 12, at *am Thanksgiving Mass celebrated by Rev. Fr. Ogie Baas, Parish Priest caught the audience with this funny & inspirational sermon. Followed by the re-enactment of the death of the Thirteen Martyrs of Cavite which was performed by selected students from Trece Martires City National High School (TMCNHS) and the offering of the wreath of flowers at the statue of the Thirteen Martyrs last September 12, 2015.
        The final event was a Zumbathon was participated in by almost 100 people from BNS and Zumba moms from different barangay Amaia Escapes sponsored the event which coincided with their open house fr the new residential subdivision in Barangay Conchu.
            This year's theme for the Zumbathon is "Malusog na Katawan Dahil sa Sayawan"
