DANCE-FOR-A-CAUSE , 27th FOUNDATION DAY OF THE 
TRECE MARTIRES CITY SOCIAL CLUB

        In 27th Foundation day of TMC Social Club was held at the covered court of the Trece Martires City Elementary School last December 14, 2013. The event was attended by 300 participants in full western attire.
       The program started with the acknowledgement of all the guests by Mr. Raymund Eguillos & Ms. Sharlene Batin. The Doxology was led by Mr. Benedict Federoso followed by the National Anthem sung by Trece Martires City Employees Choir. Hon. Venancio Gatdula, the immediate past president, gave the opening remarks. Mr. Josefino S. Vasques welcomed  the guest to the 27th Foundation Day of the Club.
       Hon. Angelito Villanueva introduced the Guest of Honor none other than the Provincial Governor—Hon. Jonvic Remulla who was represented by Ex Vice Mayor Alvin Mojica stated that the province will always be supportive of the programs of the TMC Social Club. Hon. Angelito Villanueva was declared as the next president of Social Club ‘14.
          The siblings Mary Angelic and Benedict  Federoso performed a series of song numbers after the Cotillion De Honor. Each guest gave a donation for the Yolanda survivors as  their contribution for the Dance-For-A-Cause.

PERSON WITH DISABILITY

           The City Social Welfare and Development Office of Trece Martires City had successfully conducted it’s 1st Person’s with Disability Congress of Trece Martires City held last December 20, 2013 at Amore Recreation and Leisure Park in Aguado.
         The advocacy campaign is designed to help inform and encourage people with disabilities, and in addition, the event participants would be able to understand and accept the mandates stipulated in every PWD related activities. The event also gives an opportunity to increase awareness of the participants welfare that would lead them to utilize their potential and talents for the development of PWD in the City.
         The event was graced by Mr. Jing Caringal, who is the Federation President of PWD in Cavite as its guest speaker. Caringal had inspired and empowered people with disabilities to beat the odds and break the barriers for the   development for all. The event ended with an inspirational message from the City Mayor, Hon. Melandres De Sagun.

AYUDA SA TYPHOON YOLANDA


        Naging maigting ang buhos ng tulong sa ating mga kapatid sa Central Visayas na nasalanta ng Super Bagyong Yolanda. Sa pamumuno ni Mayor Melan de Sagun muling tumulak patungong Central Visayas ang Pamahalaang Lunsod ng Trece Martires para sa ikalawang bahagi ng relief operations.
Ikalawang bahagi ang Basey sa Eastern Samar at Marabut sa Western Samar noong December 9-14, 2013. 800 pamilya mula sa San Antonio Basey, Eastern Samar ang nabahaginan ng relief goods at tulong medical. Maging ang taunang pamimigay ng Gamit Eskwela ni Mayor Melan ay umabot sa mga kabataan doon, 74 na Day Care Centers, 554 na mga primary level at 374 na mag-aaral sa secondary level. 310 namang mga pamilya sa Barangay Tingib ang natulungan.
         Sa Marabut, Eastern Samar naman, 195 na mga pamilya mula Barangay Amantillo, 145 pamilya mula  Barangay Ferreras, 120 pamilya mula Barangay Odoc ang nabahaginan ng tulong na relief goods at ang medical mission naman ay naganap sa mga Barangay ng Ferreras at Odoc, kung saan 145 at 120 pamilya ang natulungan.
        Hindi lamang sa bilang o ano mang bagay makikita ang tulong sa ating mga kababayan kundi ang emosyonal, ispiritwal at moral nilang pangangailangan sa mahabang proseso na nawa ay mabilis nilang malampasan ang hambalos ng Bagyong Yolanda. Makikita sa ibaba ang buong mga detalye ng Medical and Relief Operations maging ang donasyon ng mga mamamayan at ilang mga sektor ng lipunan. Ang Pamahalaang Lunsod ng Trece Martires ang ginamit na instrumento upang makarating ng agaran ang tulong.
      Kabilang sa mga opisina ng Pamahalaang Lunsod ang karamay ng ating mga kababayan ang naghatid ng tulong ay ang City Health Office sa pamunuan ni Dr. Marina Perena; CDRRMO sa pamunuan ni Engr. Kenneth Morales; Treceno Medical Pavillion sa pangunguna ni Dr. Bryan De Mesa at mga volunteer nurses; City Mayors Office sa pangunguna ni Ms. Marina Castillo. Ang City Administrator. City Engineering Office sa pangunguna ni Engr. Antonio Mendez; kabilang ang General Services Office sa pamunuan ni Ms. Emelina Vidallon at CDSWDO sa pamunuan ni Ms. Nora Delos Santos at maging mga volunteer employees na nagrepack ng mga relief goods mula ibat-ibang opisina ng Pamahalaang Lunsod.

 PAMASKONG HANDOG FOR TYPHOON YOLANDA SURVIVORS

            One would never forget the devastation that the supertyphoon Yolanda (International name: “Haiyan”) brought in the Philippines that made Christmas a lonesome one for Filipinos. In order to bring back the warmth and happiness this Yuletide Season; the City Government through the City Social and Development of Trece Martires City organized the Pamaskong Handog for Typhoon Yolanda Survivors last December 27, 2013 at the City Hall Lobby.
         The event was attended by the typhoon survivors whom according to the records of CSWD as of November 20, 2013 shows that there are 50 families who affected by the said typhoon. They  temporarily live with their relatives in the City. Ms. Nora Delos Santos, head of the Social Welfare, welcome the typhoon survivors to jumpstart the event. There were fun-filled activities such as parlor games, exchange gifts, and salo-salo that uplift the spirit of Christmas amidst the disaster that happened.
           Truly, Filipinos are amongst the happiest and the bravest people: they never forget how to smile despite the painful and unpleasant disaster brought by Yolanda.

MARY ANGELIC PENUS FEDEROSO


                        “GELI”  Started manifesting virtuosity in music at the age of  4. At 5th grade, began joining solo voice competition and kundiman singing that elevated her to popularity and even received prominent awards. A 4-year reigning Kundiman Champion in the Division of Cavite, a Regional Champion, that led to becoming a National Finalist of “NATIONAL MUSIC COMPETITION for YOUNG ARTIST” (NAMCYA) in 2005.
                          A performing artist in 3 consecutive concerts at TEATRO Greenhills with the great violinist John Lecasa and other local respected music icons. Performed at the “STAR AWARDS FOR TELEVISION” with Bituin Escalante & Frenchie Dy. She also launched a solo concert at Showrock Bar and a repeat performance concert at the Cavite Provincial Gymnasium which gave birth to a screen name “ANGEL DIVA”.


                         Geli performed in 2 consecutive fund raising concerts with His Eminence LUIS ANTONIO CARDINAL TAGLE. She was the voice behind the song “ YASIA FIESTA”, composed by MIMO L. PEREZ, a theme song of the “ ASIAN YOUTH DAY” held in Cavite in 2009, “SALAMIN NG PAG IBIG NIYA” composed by MIMO L. PEREZ, theme song  of  TRANSFIGURATION OF CHRIST PARISH in San Roque, Antipolo City.

                          Last March 17, 2013,  Geli launched her 1st inspirational Album at  St. Augustine Major Seminary, Tagaytay City and a second launching on July 14, 2013 at  San Carlos Seminary, Makati City entitled “MAGNIFICAT” composed by Rev. Fr. Carlo Magno Marcelo, produced and exclusively distributed by the JESUIT COMMUNICATIONS.
                          The album was nominated as “Best Inspirational Album“ and “ANG PANANALIG” as theme song of the Year of Faith in the Diocese of Manila and nominated as “Best Inspirational Song”. The album and the singer received a “HIGHLY COMMENDABLE SPECIAL CITATION AWARD” given last November 15, 2013 by the prestigious 35th CATHOLIC MASS MEDIA AWARDS held @ Teatro ng GSIS.

TRECE PHOTOGRAPHY CLUB


                 A SHOOT FOR A CAUSE: Relief Drive for Typhoon Yolanda Victims. The high fashion Photo shoot was held at the Provincial capitol grounds last November 24, 2013 at exactly 2:00pm. Its was sponsored by Trece Photography Club (TPC) in partnership with the City Mayor’s Office through the Tourism and Information Office. The required registration fee is 3 kinds easy-to-open  canned goods, 1 litre of water and Php50.00.


       The event was attended by TPC members, Naic Photography Club (NPC) members and other photography clubs in Cavite for total of 53 photographers.
         Mr. Lett Singson, the TPC President welcomed the assembled photographers. Mr. Ysrael Diloy gave a short background of the objectives of the event and how it was conceptualized. Each group was provided (2) models for different areas of the capitol grounds. Each group will spend 20 minutes in each station/models.
         Total goods collected are as follows: 383 canned goods, 26 pcs of mineral water, 10 rice packs, 4 acks of medical kits, emergency kits, 7 boxes of used clothes, 1 bag of new clothes and Php 4,300 was collected for medicines. All the collection was donated to the Philippine National Red Cross—Cavite Chapter.

CITY AGRICULTURE UPDATES


             Forty-two (42) farmers graduated from the Farmer’s Field School of Organic Agriculture last November 15, 2013 at the City Forest Park.
           This program implements Republic Act No 10068 or the “Organic Agriculture Act is a joint project of the Agricultural Training Institute and the City Agriculture Office of Trece Martires City. The project was launched at the Kinakoke’s Farmville, Brgy. Hugo Perez. The thirteen barangays of the city were well represented in the 42 farmers in the project.




Hon. Fransisco Cunanan, SB Chairperson on Agriculture and Mr. Richard Lumandas (representative of the City Mayor)  awards the certificates and organic liquid fertilizer to the graduating farmers.

AYUDA SA TYPHOON YOLANDA


        Tatlong araw bago manalasa ang Super Bagyong Yolanda (Haiyan) noong November 8, 2013 nagpalabas na ng abiso ang PAG-ASA at Tanggapan ng Pangulo na paghandaan ang pagdating ng mala-delubyong lakas na maituturing sa buong mundo. Ang Pilipinas ang tatamaan at partikular na masasalanta ang ka-Bisayaan. Ito ay ang mga lugar ng Samar, Leyte, ilang parte ng Negros, Iloilo at Cebu.

          Ito na marahil sa taong 2013 na maituturing na halos kawalang pag-asa sa karanasan ng ating mga kababayan Pilipino sa kabuhayan, ari-arian, ilang kapamilya at kaanak na nawalan ng buhay at nasawi sa pananalasa ng bagyong Yolanda. Lalo’t higit ang mga survivors na halos naigupo ng matinding delubyo. Tanging dasal ang utal kung hanggang saan at kailan sila masasagot ng panalangin na matulungan.

          Matapos ang pangyayaring ito, agarang umayuda ang Pamahalaang Lunsod ng Trece Martires sa pamamagitan ng City Disaster Risk and Managament Council sa panagunguna ni Kgg. Mayor Melan de Sagun na agarang pulungin ang miyembro upang makapaghatid ng suporta sa ating mga kababayan sa Visayas. Ang panawagang tumulong ay parang isang biyaya na siksik, liglig at umaapaw na halos mapuno ang lobby ng city hall sa mga relief goods, mga damit at gamot mula sa iba’t-ibang sector ng Trece Martires maging simpleng mamamayan nito. Dahil din dito, bumuhos ang suporta mula sa mga institusyon, organisasyon at emplyado ng pamahalaang lunsod na makibahagi sa kung saan mang paraan.

      Dalawang araw matapos ang anunsiyo agad nagkasa ng “Medical at Relief Operation” ang Pamahalaang Lunsod ng Trece Martires at nakaipon ng mahigit sa 300 sakong mga used clothes at halos 5, 000 relief goods (bigas, de lata, noodles, tubig, personal hygiene,) at mga medical supplies na isusuporta sa pamahalaang nasyonal at mga bansang handing umalalay sa ating mga kababayang nasalanta. Isang gawain nabuhay muli ang bolunterismo at pagtutulungan maging mga bata o matatanda.

          Unang bahagi ang lugar ng SAN DIONISIO sa Lalawigan ng ILOILO noong November 19-22, 2013 kung saan pitong barangay (POBLACION, SIEMPREVIVA, NIPA, SUA, TIABAS, BORONGON, AGDILARAN) ang naayudahan ng Pamahalaang Lunsod ng Trece Martires kaagapay ang samahan ng mga Mason (Lodge 310).  Kasama sa napuntahan ang mga Barangay ng Naborot, Talo-Ato at Odoniongan na kung saan sa local na MDSWD ang pinaghatiran ng tulong. 1, 800 mga relief goods ang natanggap ng mahigit sa 500 mga pamilya. Sa lugar ng Barangay Poblacion at Agdilaran naman din naganap ang agarang nabigyan ng atensiyon medical at mahigit 800 mga survivors doon ang natulungan.
