The second part of the 62nd Foundation Day of Trece Martires City is the newly elected officials had their oath taking ceremony which started with the oath taking of the new barangay chairperson of Brgy, Gregorio after the untimely demire of Mrs. Ellen Autriz. Mr. Eliseo Dela Luya was elected 1st councilor and as a result was appointed as barangay chairperson by Mayor de Sagun. 
Congressman Jonjon Ferrer was the keynote speaker in the inauguration and he praised the city under the leadership of Mayor Melan for his aggressive investment agenda. The honorable representative also promised to assist Mayor Melan in development a special economic zone in the city that will attract businesses to boost employment.

62nd FOUNDATION DAY

Last May 24 2016, the Local City Government of Trece Martires celebrated The 62nd Foundation Day at the Provincial Gymnasium of Trece Martires. The objective of the 62nd Foundation Day of Trece Martires are to celebrate their annual anniversary, to showcase their own their own talents, to have a unity, sportsmanship, creativity and uniqueness.
The guests wore their Hawaiian inspired costumes and registered before entering the gym. The event began at exatly 2:00 in the afternoon and hosted by Ms. Sharlene Batin and Mr. Jojo Bragais. Among the activities was a raffle draw with fun prizes like: fourty-three (43) Cinema Tickets, twenty (20) Stand fan and five (5) Television were given. One representative per offices were called on the stage to ramp for the Best in Costume. Each office; City Social and Welfare Development Office, City Slaughter House Office, City Local Civil Registrar’s Office, City Planning and Development Office, City Health’s Office, City Accounting’s Office, City Market’s Office, City Agricultural Office, City Tourism and Information Office, City Treasurer’s Office, City Engineering’s Office, City Budget Office, City General Services Office, City Local Special Hobbies Office, City Sanggunian Office, Trece Martires City College, City Assessor’s Office, City Mayor’s Office, City Nutrition’s Office, Traceno Medical Pavillion, City Disaster RRMO, City Civil Security Unit Office and City License Office, performed a dance number. The 2nd runner up (City Mayor’s Office) won 10,000 pesos, 20,000 pesos for the 1st runner up (City Engineering’s Office) and 30,000 pesos for the Champion (City Treasurer’s Office). The Judges are Ms. Roniza de Sagun, the wife of our City Mayor, Ms. Michelle Ferrer Alcid, Provincial Sanggunian Secretary, Ms. SRINSP Hazel Olga Laureto Delos Reyes, the City Fire Marshall, Mr. PSUPT Egbert B. Tibayan, a Chief Police of Trece PNP, Dr. Yolanda Penales, Public School District Supervisor of Trece Martires City, Ms. Juliet R. Ocampo, General Manager of TMCWD, Ms. Leo C. Data, the City Local Government Operation Officer of department of the Interior and Local Government of Trece Martires City and Ms. Leticia R. Colada, the Head Officer for Senior Citizens Affairs.
There are four (4) guests which also presented production numbers: ZMD Group; MDS Dancers; “That’s my Bae" and Mavy from the noon time show Eat Bulaga. The plated dinner buffet was served at 6pm.

SM Prime Holdings, Inc., one of the leading integrated property companies in Southeast Asia, has opened SM City Trece Martires, its 58th in the country. This is also the fifth mall in the province of Cavite after the successes of SM City Bacoor, SM City Dasmariñas, SM City Rosario and SM City Molino. Located at the heart of the province, this latest premier destination adds 84,000 square meters (sqm) in gross floor area (GFA), bringing SM Prime’s total retail space to almost 7.5 million sqm, the largest footprint in the country.

“The success of our first four malls in Cavite encouraged us to expand the malling lifestyle in the province. SM City Trece Martires will be a great addition in the development of Cavite as we remain committed to expand towards the provincial areas,” SM Prime President Hans T. Sy said.
SM City Trece Martires, which is situated on the corner of two main thoroughfares – Governor’s Drive and Capitol Road – opens new doors to the city of Trece Martires that has more than 100,000 residents. It is bounded by Tanza on the North and West, Naic also on the West, Amadeo and Indang on the South, and General Trias on the East. Based on a 2010 census, Cavite is the most populated province in the Philippines with 3.1 million people.

FLORES DE MAYO / SANTACRUZAN 2016


A Santacruzan is a religious-historical beauty pagent held in many cities, towns and even small villages throughout the Philippines during the month of May. One of the most colorful May-time festivals in the Philippines which depicts the finding of the Holy Cross by Queen Helena, mother of Constantine the Great. In the town of Trece Martires City Cavite they celebrated the Sagala of Flores De Mayo / Santacruzan last May 21, 2016. They started the parade at 6:00 am.
St. Jude Thaddeus Parish of Trece Martires City Cavite spear-headed the said event. In the special participation for offering – Mr. & Mrs. Anton Erni together with Kap. Manoy Villanueva and Sangguniang Barangay also with the help of the president of Flores De Mayo Mrs. Nena Lubigan. This year, Mrs. Nerry Ignaco was the Hermana Mayor 2016.

THE NEW MUTYA AND GINOONG TRECE

Ms. Revajane Dullete from Barangay Inocencio and Mr. Leandro Santiago from Barangay Lapidario dazzed the audience that earned them the Mutya at Ginoong Trece 2016 title respectively.
All the 24 candidates showed grace and glamour at the coronation night to the delight of the boisterous crowd that packed the Provincial Gymnasium last May 6, 2016. Crowning a new set of winners was the opening salvo of the 62nd Foundation Day of Trece Martires City.
The panel of judges were one of the highlights of the event as the City Government pulled out all the stops and invited the most prestigious and stellar set of judges: Ms. Wilma Dassent (model & actress), Ms. Venus Raj (Miss Universe - Philippines 2010), Ms. Yamani Caliwara (fashion & style consultant), Mr. Jojo Orquico (theater actor), and Mr. Brando Concepcion (make-up artist).
Mayor Melan De Sagun expressed his appreciation to all the Treceños for their continued support to all his programs for the city specially the parents of the candidates.
