CITY SOCIAL WELFARE & DEVELOPMENT OFFICE UPDATES

       This Month of July the City Social Welfare & Development Office joined the National Council on Disability Affairs (NCDA) to lead the observance of the 37th National Disability Prevention Week on July 17-23 in accordance with the Presidential Promotion No. 361 dated August 19, 2000 and Administrative Order (AO) No. 35 dated May 3, 2002.

        This year’s celebration is anchored on the “Health and Wellness Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities Toward an Inclusive Development for All” which aims to promote and advocate equal quality health care and services for PWD’s. Last July 16, 2015 the Federation of Persons with Disability joined the motorcade and Mr. Rejie Nicol PWD Federation President joined the Logo - making Contest at Provincial Gymnasium.

          Also Another event that occurred was the Oath Taking Ceremonies of the Federation of Persons with Disability and Solo Parents lats July 23, 2015. The Federation of Senior Citizens General Assembly last July 30, 2015 held at Terre Verte Farm and Resorts Agus-os Indang Cavite was graced by Mayor Melan De Sagun, Vice Mayor Alexander Lubigan and Members of Sangguniang Panlungsod together with the special guest Congressman Luis A. Ferrer IV.

        The PhilHealth Members Data Record (MDR) Distribution and Orientation for the Mandatory Phil Health Coverage of Senior Citizens of Trece Martires City was also conducted, led by Mayor Melan De Sagun, Vice Mayor Alexander Lubigan, Members of Sangguniang Panlunsod and Cavite PhilHealth Insurance Office.
