RABIES AWARENESS MONTH

The Provincial Veterinary Office of the Provincial Government of Cavite in partnership with City Agriculture Office conduct free rabies vaccination including eight (8) veterinarian and five hundred (500) vials of rabisin donate to pet owners of thirteen (13) barangays of Trece Martires City last February to April 2016.

Last quarter of 2015 City Agriculture Office recorded one (1) cases happened in Barangay Cabezas that became a public health problem causing one (1) person fatal death. The Agriculture Office conduct an emergency meeting with Dr. Dominador Borja, (Provincial Veterinarian), Dr. Gloria Digma, (Assistance Provincial Veterinarian), Angelito Villanueva, (Committee on Health & Nutrition), Dr. Jackielou R. Lontoc, (National Rabies Coordinator) as their resource speakers in Rabies Awareness Campaign.

The Final decision in the meeting is to conduct free rabies vaccination to all pet owners in the one (1) barangay and other twelve (12) adjusent barangays to controlled rabies if not eradicated by implementing a concerned and comprehensive rabies controlled program such as mandatory anti-rabies vaccination of dogs and cats being the source of rabies infection. 

The Baragays: Aguado 452, Cabezas 440, San Agustin 238, Conchu 396, Cabuco 672, Lapidario 272, De Ocampo 174, Gregorio 298, Osorio 411, Hugo Perez 459, Luciano 304 for the total of 4116.

PAY TAXES CORRECTLY

The City Treasurer Office of Trece Martires City, Cavite had their Tax Campaign to different barangay officials. Fidelity bond application/renewal of employees for the 2nd quarter of the year and managed the preparation for Elections 2016.

CITY SOCIAL WELFARE DEVELOPMENT OFFICE UPDATES

The City Government of Trece Martires thru City Social Welfare & Development Office held a Lakbay Aral for thirteen (13) Senior Barangay Association in said places which are Batangas, Antipolo, Kamay ni Hesus in Lucban Quezon, Manaoag, and Tanay Rizal in whole month of April 715 participants.

The Person With Disability (PWD) conduct a general elections for Federation Officers last April 12, 2016 at Barangay Hall of Inocencio attended by Ms. Nora Delos Santos and Ms. Lucinda Agrava. The new elected officers are: President Mr. Raji M. Nicol -Lapidario, Vice President Mr. Alexander N. Cabangon - Cabuco, Secretary Ms. Joventina S. Elep - Cabezas, Treasurer Ms. Marlene Vicedo - Inocencio, Auditor Ms. Jasmin F. Galicia - San Agustin, BUS Manager Ms. Emie Lubigan - Gregorio, and Ms Melba Bacuahan - Luciano, PRO Mr. Carlito Orteduza Jr. - De Ocampo, and Ms. Lucia L. Bangot - Aguado, Board of Directors Ms. Josephine Quintua - Cabuco, Ms. Marites C. Sargo - Hugo Perez, Ms. Isabelita G. Maggay - Lallana, and Ms. Virginia Gandia - Osorio.

Lastly the distribution of Social Pension for Indigent Senior Citizens Region IV-A Payout for 257 Indigent Senior Citizens last April 20, 2016 at the City Hall lobby of Trece Martires City.

The elections for Federation Officer last April 12, 2016 at Barangay Hall of Inocencio, TMC.

Last April 5-23 2016, the City Government of Trece Martires City in cooperation with the City Health Office conducted the “Isang Paglilingkod Bayan: Operation Tuli and Medical Mission Caravan 2016” spearheaded by City Mayor Melan De Sagun this is but one of the activities under the “Proyektong Pangkalusugan mula kay Mayor Melan”.

The pictures at the left column show the Operation Tuli and Medical Mission Caravan in different barangays in the city.

PALARONG PANGLUNGSOD

“Suportahan natin ang ating mga kabataan sa tulong ng ating sports program. Ilayo natin sila sa bisyo sa pamamagitan ng sports!”. Mayor Melan said.

Last April 24, 2016 the City Sports Development Council of Trece Martires held its Palarong Panlungsod 2016. The event began with an inter-barangay opening ceremony and parade that started at the City Hall Building, to St. Jude Parish Church, Red Ribbon, Mercury, Korean Hospital, and ended at Lapidario Covered Court. The thirteen barangays of the Trece Martires strongly competed in the men’s basketball, men’s and women’s volleyball tournament.

The objectives of the Palarong Panlungsod are: to promote Physical Education and sports as an integral part of the Basic Education curriculum for holistic development of the youth, inculcate the spirit of discipline, teamwork, excellence, fair play, solidarity, sportsmanship, and other values inherent in sports, promote and achieve peace by means of sports, and provide a database for a valid and universal basis to further improve the city sports development programs.
