RABIES AWARENESS MONTH

The Provincial Veterinary Office of the Provincial Government of Cavite in partnership with City Agriculture Office conduct free rabies vaccination including eight (8) veterinarian and five hundred (500) vials of rabisin donate to pet owners of thirteen (13) barangays of Trece Martires City last February to April 2016.
Last quarter of 2015 City Agriculture Office recorded one (1) cases happened in Barangay Cabezas that became a public health problem causing one (1) person fatal death. The Agriculture Office conduct an emergency meeting with Dr. Dominador Borja, (Provincial Veterinarian), Dr. Gloria Digma, (Assistance Provincial Veterinarian), Angelito Villanueva, (Committee on Health & Nutrition), Dr. Jackielou R. Lontoc, (National Rabies Coordinator) as their resource speakers in Rabies Awareness Campaign.
The Final decision in the meeting is to conduct free rabies vaccination to all pet owners in the one (1) barangay and other twelve (12) adjusent barangays to controlled rabies if not eradicated by implementing a concerned and comprehensive rabies controlled program such as mandatory anti-rabies vaccination of dogs and cats being the source of rabies infection. 

The Baragays: Aguado 452, Cabezas 440, San Agustin 238, Conchu 396, Cabuco 672, Lapidario 272, De Ocampo 174, Gregorio 298, Osorio 411, Hugo Perez 459, Luciano 304 for the total of 4116.
