BARANGAY TRAINING FOR NUTRITION
The City Government of Trece Martires recently conducted a Training for the Promotion of Good Nutrition (PGN) from April 22-26, 2013 at the Session Hall of the City Hall Building.
The PGN was part of the city’s projects to promote the Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition (PPAN): the country's response to malnutrition, an integral component of the Philippine Development Plan for 2010-2016. Nutrition is incorporated in our mandate to achieve the Millenium Development Goal (MDG) Number 1 (Eradicate Extreme Poverty and Hunger) and Number 5 (Improve Maternal Health).
Nutrition programs are multi-sectoral in approach and the impact of a good nutrition program directly affects the residents of our city that’s why mother leaders are included in the PGN.
